PFI: The Colour of Pomegranates (1969)

8:00 pm

This avant-garde film by soviet director Sergei Parajanov depicts the life of revered the 18th-century Armenian poet and musician Sayat-Nova (Vilen Galstyan).

Portraying events in the life of the artist from childhood up to his death, the movie addresses in particular his relationships with women, including his muse (Sofiko Chiaureli). The production tells Sayat-Nova's dramatic story by using both his poems and largely still camerawork, creating an impressionistic work.

Come down for a night of electronic-focused experimentation.

A heady brew of improv, noise and remix culture that showcases the depth and diversity of the left-field music scene in Birmingham and beyond.

It’s a slice of cosmic pie for all the family, washed down with a hot jug of granular gravy. All in one Pan.
