This is intentional. Kinna instils a sense of calm in the viewer with a precise blend of minimalist digital art film and music or edited sonic recordings.
Wave features three films that draw on an aspect of humanity's interactions with natural bodies, or living beings, of water, including her award-winning Lights. Inspired by an evening walk at Littlehampton beach, the film shows two harbour lights blinking, slightly out of sync. The lights prompted a two-part minimalist composition, with treble parts following the green light and bass parts following the red. Timing shifts with the lights, alongside the gradual darkening of the harbour. Breathe along with the music, and you’re essentially meditating.
