Exercises in collective imagination
Through musical experiments and creative exercises we aim to reflect on collectivity, our relationship with the changing environment and imagining the future.
Aimed at those interested in practicing experimentation, this workshop is a chance to interact in a safe, playful and non judgemental space. Whether you’re a musician, a poet, a writer of prose or artist you are invited to immerse yourself in sound and create. Maddalena Ghezzi, Ruth Goller and Maria Chiara Argiro have all inhabited the worlds of experimentation and are interested in inclusive interdisciplinary practices and community building.
For musicians: bring your instrument (email in advance for specs)For writers: bring your writing tools. For artists: bring what you need to create
Artist Info:
Emerald with Maria Chiara Argirò (Innovative Leisure) and Dolomite with Ruth Goller (International Anthem) are the most recent releases part of Maddalena Ghezzi’s series Minerals.
The desire to merge these two works created LIVE an album recorded live at Paper Dress Vintage, London (2025) where Emerald “delicate world in osmosis with nature and humans” met Dolomite “pointillistic aural foam”.
The two worlds met so well that the trio decided to deepen their exploration into their sound. Inspired by the concept “A species can only thrive when everything around it thrive too”, the trio investigates a futuristic approach rooted in the embodiment of nature, “a backward-facing river cuts through a crumbling landscape in search of an epicenter [...] looking for a way to exist in harmony with places we’ve left in decline”.
LIVE album will be released on 30th October 2026 and will be followed by a tour with old and new material.
Expect ethereal intertwined vocals, lithe synths sounds, visceral bass, experimentation, different languages, improvisation and poetic atmospheres.
