Dan Johnson presents The Bellflower, a work for solo drum kit that draws on his experience as a percussionist, performance artist, teacher and deep listening facilitator.
Known for pushing the boundaries of how drumming is perceived, in particular his durational performance art pieces exploring sound and movement, Dan's approach is infinitely adaptable and centred around meaningful exploration. Audiences have described his performances as vulnerable, generous, enduring and untethered.
“Dan Johnson needs to be seen to be believed…an exciting addition to any band's lineup, but as a solo performer his drumming is unparalleled…engaging audiences and never bowing to the traditional limitations of the instrument, Dan continues to exceed his last, best performance. Just go and watch.” - Ed Taylor, ‘The Grey Area’, Noods Radio
The evening will also feature performances from Pam Rose Cott and Nathan England-Jones.
